“After careers in the military, ministry and private sector, which involved moving and working all over the world, Cherita and I found ourselves settling in Conway, AR. Conway has been our home since 1998 and is the place where our two children and daughter-in- law attended and graduated college, and began their families. They and our five grandchildren live, attend school and work in Conway.

It wasn’t long after buying and selling the first of our properties in Conway, that Cherita and I knew there needed to be a better alternative to the local, establishment real estate firms. I knew that my skills as a government contract negotiator, and later as the C.E.O. of an international oil company, coupled with the disciplines that served me well during 21 years in the U.S. Army—which included tours of duty in Germany, Korea, Okinawa, Bahrain, Jordan, U.A.E., Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Qatar, and participation in Operations Desert Storm, Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom—could be used to offer that new alternative to the people of Central Arkansas.

My experience as a military officer, pastor, missionary, denominational director, and C.E.O. had taught me not to settle for what I knew could be better. Cherita and I entered the real estate world with enthusiasm and the motivation to plow straight into the challenges of starting a new company that would stand out as being uniquely client-centric. In 2007, both of us became REALTORS®, served our time as agents, and learned what was good, and also not so good, about traditional real estate business.

In 2009, we established Geraldson Realty and began a journey that to-date is still as exciting as the day we began. When Cherita and I decided to start Geraldson Realty, we both agreed, it could never be primarily about money. With our faith and our values as our source of wealth, this experience would have to be about helping others. We know what it means to work and earn, save and struggle, invest, buy and sell all with the dream of doing even better. We know the challenges of negotiating for the best possible outcome and we know how important it is to be represented well.”
